Apple 終於公布 iOS 10 的推出日期，預計將在 9/13 開放更新，不過現在可以下載幾乎就等於正式版的 GM 版，仍然建議要小心取用，畢竟這並非一般 iPhone 正式的升級管道，稍有不慎，就有可能讓手上的 iPhone 變成磚頭了。
升級 iOS 10 GM 版本的方式很簡單，請根據機型下載相對應的韌體檔案，再透過 iTunes 升級韌體，請在 iTunes 的手機頁面中點選「回復 iPhone」或「Restore iPhone」的同時，按著鍵盤上的 Shift 鍵 (Win) 或 Option 鍵 (Mac)，再選擇正確的韌體檔案 (.ipsw) 即可。
