謝至恩英國衛報記者 Carole Cadwalladr 在 Twitter 上貼出英國國會的「數位、文化、媒體與運動委員會 (Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee)」向 Facebook 所發出的最後通牒，可以看得出英國國會對於 Facebook 技術長 Mike Schroepfer 在聽證會上的回答並不滿意，尤其未能回答的問題多達 39 個，因此委員會主席 Damian Collins 表示 Mike Schroepfer 在聽證會上的答覆缺乏證據與細節，因此重新發出要求，希望執行長 Mark Zuckerberg 在 5 月 24 日出席在倫敦舉辦的聽證會，否則將在他下次入境英國時寄發傳票要求出席。

相信這次委員會要求 Mark Zuckerberg 出席作證，應該是必須回答 Mike Schroepfer 未能妥善回答的 39 道題目，包括 Facebook 在多少比例的網站追蹤用戶資料、網際網路研究機構有限公司 (IRA) 在美國大選期間買了多少付費廣告等等。這 39 題非常精準且仔細，完全不同於美國聽證會委員所提出來的廣泛性問題。如果 Mark Zuckerberg 出席英國聽證會，恐怕沒辦法那麼容易過關了。
